So I’m a few days behind meeting Uncle Rick’sget a post up this weekend” challenge, but here goes.

After plateauing in my diet efforts some time ago, I’ve had a nice loss recently that encouraged me to push harder and get back on the exercise bike. So here I am. TV on, blog in hand, pedaling away.

I find myself with one other inspiring reason for wanting to get back on the “get in shape” wagon – a quickly approaching trip to Hawaii. While sorting through some clothes, I came across a hawain print dress that I’ve had since college, and was surprised to see that it fit again when I slipped it on. Albeit, it was a bit snug, but it zipped up, and that’s what counts! So, my new motivation to survive the holiday season and even try to lose a few pounds is to have that dress fit comfortably again. A lofty goal, given the bounty of goodies and treats that inevitably come with the cold weather and holiday cheer, but one I’m hoping to accomplish nonetheless.

    Good job—on multiple fronts there! It is hard to carve out time to write, hard to carve out time to exercise. So yay you!
