So Dave introduced me to Lonelygirl15 the other day. I first read about her on Dave’s blog – and had absolutely no interest in her or her video diary. Then, the other night while Ben & I were over at Dave’s house, he put one of her videos on. Strangely interesting – although her vlogs are brief & at times boring – she has a personality that draws you in. Like you actually know her. Anyway, there’s a big controversy on whether she’s real or not (it’s even made it’s way to the New York Times)- meaning, are her blogs actually her real life, or is this some small part of a larger scale promotion? One interesting fact – her “fanpage” was registered a full month prior to her debut on YouTube.com… slightly odd, don’t ya think?
Regardless, it’s entertaining – which is the whole point of YouTube, right?
Another clip I stumbled across on MySpace, was the “I pinch” crab from the Honda Element commercial. It’s hilarious to me… not really sure why, but I love it!
